If you hop onto our website, you might notice a new popup with the caption ‘Chat to Our Community’. This new feature is The Ambassador Platform (TAP)! It’s an opportunity for you to chat with current students of SIBT and Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus (WSUSCC), to learn more about our courses, student life or to ask any other questions.
What is The Ambassador Platform?
University isn’t only just about education – it’s also about experiencing university life and making new friendships. But each university is different, so how can you know what your university experience will be like?
With TAP, you will have the opportunity to chat with current students from SIBT and WSUSCC. When you visit the SIBT or Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus website, you will see a popup on the screen saying ‘Chat to our Community’. Once you click on it, you will be directed to the ‘Chat to our Ambassadors’ webpage on the website.
From here, you will be able to see the profiles of the students, aka ambassadors, with whom you can connect and have a chat with. There are filter options available so that you can speak with someone from SIBT or WSUSCC, or you can use the search function to look for particular keywords that you’d like to chat about. For example, if you wanted to discuss with someone about engineering, then simply search the word ‘engineering’ and you will see a list of students who are currently studying engineering.
How The Ambassador Platform can help you
When you’re deciding on which university to attend, you have many things to consider. Is this institution right for me? What are the lecturers and tutors like? Will this degree cover what I’d like to learn? Is Sydney the right city for me?
Our ambassadors can help answer these questions and explain so much more! It’s not all about the chat either. By connecting their social media profiles to TAP, you can see the true and authentic tertiary education experience. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, so it’s a great opportunity for you to see what really goes on behind the scenes at SIBT and WSUSCC.
Check out what Tanzima, an Ambassador for SIBT and WSUSCC, had to say about TAP. “We, the students, get to share our honest experience with potential students. As ambassadors, we are the genuine examples of what it feels like to be a student at SIBT and Western Sydney University.”
Why Use The Ambassador Platform
Here’s the icing on the cake on how TAP can help you. The following statistics are based on prospective students using TAP1:
- 85% felt more informed about student life
- 87% felt more confident about their education choice
Tanzima helps explain this further. “We can share what the actual journey of being an SIBT and Western Sydney University student is like, the advantages and disadvantages, where to find help and other things. TAP is like an honest, friendly and open guide for the potential students”.
TAP is a great tool for you to utilise and will come from the most powerful source in your decision making – current SIBT and WSUSCC students.
