Australian applicants

All Australian citizens, permanent residents and holders of permanent humanitarian visas are required to apply for admission through SIBT directly. Year 11 school leavers can apply for our Foundation program directly through the SIBT online application form.

For Session 2 and 3, they can directly apply online.

An international applicant is one who does not hold citizenship of Australia or New Zealand, Australian or New Zealand permanent resident status or a permanent visa. The language of instruction at SIBT is English.  International students must demonstrate a suitable level of English proficiency before being admitted to a program.

All international applicants:

• must complete the SIBT Application form for international students;
• must provide true and certified copies of documents detailing the most recent academic qualifications and results;
• will be assessed against Genuine Student (GS) Test criteria to determine if they are a genuine student.

SIBT offers 3 semester intakes each year: March, July and October.

You can apply directly to SIBT if:

• You are not currently studying a standard Australian year 12 school curriculum
• You intend to submit an application to SIBT only

If you are a year 11 student, you would need to apply for SIBT’s Foundation program before completing a diploma program.
