Careers Adviser and Teachers Hub

Overview

As a careers adviser or educator, your role is crucial in helping students find pathways to further study that match their interests and goals. SIBT (Sydney Institute of Business and Technology) provides a flexible, accessible route into university for students who might not meet traditional entry requirements. Below is everything you need to support your students — from admission criteria and campus visits, to key dates, guides, and scholarships.

Partnership with Western

SIBT is co-located with Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus, and for the duration of their studies, college students have access to the same facilities and support network as their university counterparts. SIBT students are even able to join university clubs and societies, bringing opportunities to socialise with WSU’s diverse community of students, and to ensure a smooth transition into university life.

Book School Visit

Our SIBT team and Student Ambassadors can visit your school to speak with Year 10–12 students about their study options and pathways to university. We can deliver engaging presentations on topics such as alternative entry pathways, our diploma-to-degree programs, student life, and how SIBT helps students fast-track to Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus.

We’re also available to attend your school’s Careers Expos, Year 10 Subject Selection Evenings, or run informal Q&A sessions and one-on-one chats with interested students.
