How do I get to the SIBT campus?

SIBT is located at 255 Elizabeth Street, Sydney. There are a few public transport options. These are:

  • Town Hall Trian Station
  • Town Hall light rail
  • Museum Train Station
  • Gadigal Metro Station
  • Bus (check bus stop route)

What are some things that we can do near campus?

SIBT is in the heart of Sydney it is a vibrant and safe city for students. Nearby, you can enjoy free activities like walking through Hyde Park, exploring the Royal Botanic Gardens, visiting the Art Gallery of NSW, or take a break at Darling Harbour. You can also attend seasonal festivals, explore local markets, and enjoy the view of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Bondi to Coogee coastal walk.

What courses are on offer?

You can choose to study our SIBT foundation program or an SIBT diploma program.

What support services are available for students?

We offer academic and Maths support, career guidance, counselling, and IT help. Visit our Student Services page for more details.

Can I transfer to a university after completing my diploma?

SIBT diplomas guarantee a pathway to Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus in the second year of the corresponding bachelor’s degree.

What are the entry requirements for international students?

Entry requirements vary by course and country. Check the international admissions page for details.

What is the class schedule like?

Students normally enrol three to four subjects per sessions. Each subject has three to four hours face-to-face classes each week.

Can I study online?

SIBT does not offer online classes.

What is the class size?

No more than 25 students for tutorials and 50 students for lectures.

Is there a deadline to accept the offer?

Domestic

Before the course commencement.

International

We suggest you allow two months prior to course commencement for the student visa application.

Is there accommodation nearby?

While SIBT doesn’t offer on-campus housing, you can find nearby student accommodation here.

How do I get my student ID or access my timetable?

SIBT Student ID Card:
If you’re an enrolled SIBT student, you can get your ID card from the IT Help Desk on Level 2. They handle all SIBT ID card requests.

Accessing Your Timetable:
Once you’re enrolled, you can view your timetable through the SIBT Portal. If you have trouble accessing it, the IT Help Desk can assist.

When can I enrol?

Enrolment is normally opened one month prior to course commencement.
