Safety on Campus

Safety on Campus

SIBT Sydney campus is a safe and welcoming place to study. You are unlikely to experience situations where they would feel unsafe on campus, however it is important to be aware of how help is available, if needed. Our students’ safety is our highest priority.

Campus Security

SIBT Sydney campus has 24-hour security, including video surveillance and an onsite security team. Our security team can assist with safety and security around campus, lost property, theft and medical emergencies. If you are on campus and need assistance, please contact the Sydney campus security desk in the lobby area of the ground floor or ask a staff member on any level for help.

First Aid Rooms

Our campus has specifically designed First Aid Rooms which can be used by the trained First Aid Officers on campus. If you need medical assistance, contact the Reception desk on Level 4 or call +61 2 9964 6555.

Emergency

If you are in Australia and need immediate help at any time, call the Australian Emergency Services. Call 000 (zero zero zero) to reach the Fire Department, Police or Ambulance. This number will work from any landline, mobile phone or public telephone box.

Tips for staying safe

It’s important that our students stay safe on campus. Below is some useful information for staying safe.

  • Our lecturers, staff and onsite security team are very approachable, and we encourage you to talk with us immediately about any concerns.
  • Do not leave valuables such as wallets or mobile phones unattended. Secure lockers are available for student use, just contact reception for more information.
  • If you observe anything suspicious, talk to our security team, your lecturer or SIBT staff.
