Upon successful completion of Diploma students go directly into second year of Engineering at Macquarie University. From second year students can choose to specialise in one of five different areas:

Computer Engineering

The design, build and management of computer-based systems and hardware that process information and control processes.

Electronics Engineering

The design, construction, manufacture, installation and management of systems based on modern electronics technology. These include telecommunications, computer, manufacturing, consumer electronics, medical, energy production, media, entertainment and environmental control.

Software Engineering

The creation, maintenance and modification of embedded computer and software programs such as operating systems, communications software, utility programs and compilers.

Telecommunications Engineering

The design, build and management of systems that carry out the transmission, processing and storage of information as electrical or optical signals over complex networks.

Wireless Engineering

The design, build and management of systems that transmit and broadcast information using wireless signals including radio waves and microwaves.
